What is Chiropractic?

The word, Chiropractic, comes from the two Greek words, Kheiro - hand and praktikos - practical. Which translates as “done by hand”. Chiropractic is a non invasive hands-on therapy that focuses on the health and function of the spine and nervous system.

Who are Chiropractors?

Chiropractors are one of only seven classes of regulated health care professionals that are able to use the title ‘doctor’ in the province of Ontario. Prior to attending chiropractic college, chiropractors must have completed a undergraduate university degree. After completing an undergraduate degree, chiropractors complete four years of study at an accredited Chiropractic College receiving more than 4200 hours of specialized clinical hands-on training. Upon completion of the chiropractic curriculum, eligible individuals write national licensing examinations in order to become fully licensed to practice.

Chiropractors are trained to treat acute, chronic muscular skeletal neurological pain, as well as prescribe therapeutic exercise, and recommend rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies.

ElectroTherapy

ElectroTherapy MI (Muscle Intelligence) Technology is a non-invasive treatment that uses skin surface electro stimulation through an artificial neuron (electrodes). The device digitally synthesizes different algorithms automatically personalized for each patient depending on the patients unique physiology (MI Scan). This new message code changes the way the brain responds to pain. This technology has been researched at the MayoClinic and John Hopkins University and is used by professional athletes.
